| Krosnogorie walks through the camps with his crossbow in hand. He wanted to serve the temples of St. Cuthburg without becoming a paladin or Cleric so he decided the best way would be to hunt down the enemies of Law and light and send them back to Nerull where they belonged. But first he would need to find someone who knew what the situation was so that he didn't end up on a suicide mission. | |

| A man with a large feather in his helmet yells at you from a tent. "You there! Crossbow guy strutting through my camp like you own it! If you're here for the war, we've got a wagon load of arrows headed to the city to resupply our archers that needs an escort. If you're here to keep strutting around like a pidgeon, strut on back to Sieto." He gestures vaguely to a mule with essentially a chariot loaded with barrels with fletching sticking out. A young boy who couldn't be over a squire rank is tightening straps over the mule. | |

| Krosnogorie makes his way over to the wagon and greets the man tightening the straps. "Good day to you sir. I will be helping with the delivery of these arrows. So let us get started quickly, I'm sure these arrows will be put to better use on the front lines!" He walks to the front of the wagon and waits for it to begin moving so he can begin walking beside it. | |

| "Glad I got someone. I was afraid I'd have to risk it alone. For the king, right?" About 20 minutes into the walk to the city, make a spot check.
Hide check: +6 (fumble)
You don't have to look hard to notice what looks like an impossibly skinny corpse standing bolt upright 3 feet from the road with a potted flower on its head. The pot is a bright orange clay, and the flower is a 7 foot tall sunflower. You see it from 400 feet off.
"What the baator? You ever seen something like that?"

| Krosnogorie rubs his eyes and squints to make sure he isn't seeing things. "I've never seen anything similar to that. But it looks undead so we'll kill it before it gets close. Let's just keep moving until it's in range." Once in range if nothing bad happens Krosnogorie lines up a shot. "Alright you undead pot head, here's a message straight from St. Cuthberg." He fires a bolt at the pot head.
Attack: +9 (27) damage if hit: 1d6+1 (2)

| The bolt falls more than you thought it would, and it strikes the corpse in the shin. The corpse looks absolutely stunned that you saw it so soon. It runs 60 feet toward you. The squire gets big eyes, draws his short sword, and stands in front of his mule. "Oh, man. That didn't kill it. You were supposed to kill it!"
By the time you get your crossbow up, it's at 20 feet from you. | |

| (Someone forgot their point blank shot.)
When the undead gets closer, the mule brays and tries to break free of the squire's grip on its halter. When the undead gets next to them, the squire screams and swings he hits it solidly in the chest for 6 damage, but the undead bites him in the throat for 9 damage. The squire falls limp to the ground and the mule starts to run away.
Squire: +1 (19) Damage if hit: d6+1 (6) Undead: +4 (16) Damage if hit: d6+3 (9)

Krosnogorie backs up five feet and glances down at the squire laying on the ground. "Soldier! You do not have orders to die here!" He fires another bolt into undead pot head.
Attack: +10 (26) Damage if hit: 1d6+2 (6)

| You grab the mule's halter and talk to it calmly enough to calm it down. | |

| 5 stabilization rolls that a good DM would have been rolling already.
10 = success. (fail, fail, fail, success)
You can tell that the squire is just barely breathing, but the majority of the neck wound has clotted and you tell that the main blood vessels are not damaged.

| As you slowly lead the mule down the road, you see a clump of bodies headed toward the road 850 feet away. | |
