Carthyra in Sieto

Carthyra very much appreciates not being immediately treated with suspicion by the guard. She smiles back at him, crosses the bridge, and enters the city. She wonders if the stranger from the woods would follow her into the city. Inside, she begins wandering the streets while looking in shop windows for interesting things. She knows she doesn't have much money, but it is still nice to see the pretty things that humans made. Sure enough, she could feel the stranger from the woods continue to watch her in the city. She feels both uneasy and secure in his presence. Sieto is the home of Pelor's church, perhaps her stranger was a guardian angel charged with her protection. It sounded childish and highly improbable to her intellectual side, but she let her imagination wander. It is entertaining to consider as she looks at the wares of Sieto's streets. After an hour or so of wondering and wandering, she decides it is time to make her delivery. She heads toward the palace to complete her mission Angel or not.

As you Approach the gate to the castle there are a large amount of guards patrolling the area and archers on the walls. one of the Elven Guards walks up to you. "What, businesses do you have here."

Carthyra is glad another elf came to inquire on her doings. She replies, "I have a delivery from Barvica." She shows the potion to the guard. "The king commissioned a potion from my master at the Sweet Quill, and I'm here to deliver it. Into whose hands should I leave it?"

The guard looks at the potion "Ahh. Yes we have been waiting for you. Please hand me the potion and i will give it to the king as soon as i can." he then calls over a elf writing on a piece of paper. "Give this nice elven girl her reward." The scribe looks at her "Her is you reward. The king as also invited you to a fest if you chose to come, it is in your honor for bringing us this potion." The scribe hands you an invitation and 5000 gold.

Carthyra stows the gold from the clerk and looks at the invitation. "Wow...A feast for me?" All she did was deliver a potion. She had the sneaking feeling that the potion was much more important than she thought, and this confirmed that suspicion absolutely. She wondered what exactly the potion was for and decided that attending the feast was the best way to find out. "I'll probably go if I have time. I mean, I do have time. That means I'll go." She takes a quick breath and puts on a smile. "I will surely attend. Thank you very much." She nods to them in farewell and walks quickly away down a road.

As soon as Carthyra turns the corner, she excitedly yanks out the invitation and looks at it. She reads it over and wonders whether she can go to a royal feast in this torn up robe. She toys with the idea of how nice of a dress she could buy with the large sum of money she was awarded. By the time she has finished reading, she knows she wants a glamerweave alchemist's robe. Master never said how much of the reward he was expecting back. She was sure he'd be disappointed if she spent it all, but would a hundred or so gold be that big of a deal? With the hopes that Master will be generous, Carthyra decides to go shopping.

as Carthyra walks down the market there are plenty of places to buy clothing. there are also a few armor and weapon shops. As you continue there is a alchemy shop next to a tailoring store. the alchemy shop had a sale on a full set of alchemy armor. It was a Rose red velvet with gold trimming and golden lacing. But in the tailoring shop there was a Royal blue dress with black trimming and a matching pair of gloves boots and hood.

Carthyra stops for a moment to look at the red velvet alchemy gear. It certainly was nice. She decided it was probably a bit too glamorous for her. She liked the idea of how the red velvet would go with her fair complexion, but she didn't want to attract more attention than she had to and have to talk to more people. She looks over the blue dress in the tailor's shop and likes it more. It was more tame and suited her. She enters the shop and approaches the owner, "I like that blue dress set you have displayed in the window. How much are you asking for it?"

An elderly elf woman. Stood up and looked at her "Of course ill gladly sell it to you. But you do know that there is nothing special about the dress its just a plain old ball room outfit, and to me you look like an adventure. Weill if you want it, it is the last one it will run you 500 gold." The elder called over a young man to get the dress ready for Carthyra.

Carthyra is glad to see another elf. She had heard so much about the humans' dislike for other races, but seeing an elven royal guard and shopkeeper living peacefully in Sieto restored a bit of her hope in humanity. "Okay, thank you. I'm still just shopping around and trying to find exactly what I want. I may be back for it in a few minutes if I don't find something else." She exits and goes to the alchemy shop. "I see you have a sale on alchemy armor. Can you tell me more about what it does, please?"

The shop keep a young female human looked at her "Yes its quite unique, its made of spider thread the dye is actually dragon blood. The hood also has an enchantment that make you smarter, the chest and leggings is as hard as steel but as light as leather, same with the gloves but increases your dexterity. and finally the boots just like the chest and leggings, and just like the gloves increases your dexterity. " she walks towards the front "It is quite expensive though last time i cheked it was 60,000gp"

Carthyra thinks she'll never have that kind of money in her life. She quietly thanks the alchemist and goes back to the tailor. "I'm back, do you still have that dress?"

"Yes of course. we have it all set up and ready for you. That will be 500gp please." there was a neat box with the dress inside ready to be taken away.

Carthyra weighs out 500 gold and lets the lady take it. She goes into a fitting room and changes into the dress and accessories putting her gloves of dex and cowl into her backpack. She cinches her belt around her waist and puts a few potions that she normally had on her robe into belt pouches. She leaves her robe with the tailor along with 10 gold to mend it and goes toward the palace to attend a royal feast.

The lady takes the gold and tells Carthyra that her outfit will be fixed by tomorrow. As you arrive at the main gates of the castle a man approaches you. "My lady I am your escort for the night. My name is Vincent."He was an elf as well with long black hair, bright blue eyes, and had a matching Royal blue tux. He bows and straitens back up he then held out his hand ready for you to receive it. But as he was talking you could feel something about his voice. As if you have heard it before.

Carthyra is met with a dashing man who somehow managed to match the outfit she just bought less than an hour ago. Was it common practice among the humans for single ladies to be appointed escorts? It seemed odd to her that they would force that kind of status on someone. Either way, there was a man here holding out his hand to her. She racked her mind for a solution to this terrifying problem. She wished she still had her backpack so that she would have something to hand to him. What did he want? Why was she holding her breath? Carthyra tries to breathe again without gasping, but felt like a child trying not to drown while learning how to swim. She had seen this scene before. She went to a drama once and, before a royal dance, the prince had held out his hand in a similar fashion. Carthyra responded how she'd seen the scene play out, so she took his hand and kissed it. As soon as she did it, she knew it was the wrong thing to do. The prince had kissed the lady's hand in the drama. She steps back sheepishly. "I'm sorry. You took me rather by surprise. I'm not used to escorts, feasts, and grandeur. Um... To the feast then?" As she takes his arm, she feels sick. That was so stupid. Such a stupid thing to do. She mentally beats herself so she doesn't embarrass herself among more notable company. He seemed to be handling this cooly. It was almost as if he was expecting some strangeness from her. Had she met him before?

You remember the voice. You have never met this man before but the voice is spot on with the voice from the forest that had saved you from the bandits at the bridge. Vincent looks at Carthyra "Are you alright my lady. Is something troubling you." They both stop at the main Door of the castle, Vincent then turns and looks closely at Carthyra "If I am the problem my lady I can leave if this is your wish."

Carthyra answers immediately. "No! I'm just... rather out of my element, you see. You don't have to leave. I'm good at mixing potions, but not at mixing myself with other people." She decides to play dumb on recognizing him. So THIS was Angel. "Somebody like me probably needs somebody to look after her at this kind of occasion. This must sound strange, but I feel like I've met you before. Do we know one another?" She wonders if he will be honest or continue to work from the shadows. He saved her from those ruffians, so he couldn't be a bad guy, could he?

"I dont believe we have met before. I would have remember such a beautiful lady. Now Let us enter." Vincent opens the door to the main hall. As you enter you see a doormen at the main entrance "Invitation please." Vincent hands him the invitations. "Thank you sir and madam you may proceed, and have a wounder full night." As you scan the man room there are many royal family her and plenty of guards patrolling the hallways. You proceed into the banquet hall. A few women coment on how beautiful your dress is and how you and Vincent look revising this night. Another Couple comes up to them "Hello I couldn't stop and notice how well your out fits go together, you must tell us were did you get them. " "Oh yes you must tell us. It would look lovely for the moon night ball next year."

Carthyra's stomach jumps at being called beautiful. He was the elf with brilliant blue eyes. Surely he must know how beautiful and rare that is. She wonders why he would lie about not knowing her. Obviously they didn't know each other, but he was hiding for a reason. This made her curious.

Somebody inquires about their attire. Carthyra responds to the best of her ability, "Oh, this dress?" 'Really? What other dress?' "I got this from a little tailoring shop owned by an old elf woman. It was right next to an alchemy shop. I'm actually not sure about his actually. How did you happen to match mine?" She looks at him innocently. 'Hah, let's see you wiggle out of this one, Vincent.' She thinks.

You cant really tell what Vincent is up to, you are to distracted with his Handsome face but you cant take your eyes of of his blue eyes. The couple thinks for a second "Ah, Now I remember She has a young elf there to help her correct. I've wanted to go in before but never had the time. You must have gotten it at the same place." The man turns to Vincent "Yes, actually. I was walking by about a week ago and saw the Tux and Dress. Standing side by side. And decided to by it."
